Learn More About the Renewable Energy Programs at ACC
ACC is currently developing a wide range of programs and courses that focus on the renewable energy field, with a strong emphasis on solar power technologies. Additional renewable energy technologies (i.e. wind, geothermal, etc) will be added as the local industry expands in those areas. Below you will find information on ACC's current course offerings as well as those in development.
ACC is collaborating on a grant project with Workforce Solutions, the Capital Area Workforce Board. Grant funding from the Texas Workforce Commission is making it possible for ACC and Workforce Solutions to offer a limited number of scholarships that will cover the cost of tuition, books and internships (where applicable) for students entering several of the renewable energy programs and courses described above. The certificate and degree provide a solid foundation for students entering the renewable energy industry, and share several courses with ACC's Power Technology Program.

These courses prepare students to pass industry certification exams required for working in the field of solar technology installation. ACC also hosts these certification exams in the ACC Business Assessment Center.
These short courses cover key continuing education topics for those currently working in the renewable energy field who want to expand their skills and knowledge and keep up with advances in technology.
